Eligibility Criteria for University of Calgary Scholarships 2025 for International Students
To be eligible for the University of Calgary Scholarship, candidates must meet the following requirements:
– Language Requirement: Proficiency in English.

Energizing Canada International Entrance Scholarship
- Awarded annually to an international student entering their first year in an undergraduate program at the University of Calgary.
- Renewable for the second, third, and fourth years if the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 3.00 over at least 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms.
- Based on academic merit and financial need.
- Must have graduated from a recognized high school in China, including Hong Kong and Macau.
- Preference given to students entering Bachelor of Engineering, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Health Sciences, or Bachelor of Arts – Urban Studies programs.
University of Calgary International Entrance Scholarship
- Awarded annually to international students entering their first year in any undergraduate degree in the upcoming fall term, who meet the English Language Proficiency requirement.
- Renewable for the second, third, and fourth years if the recipient maintains a GPA of 2.60 or higher over at least 24.00 units in the previous fall and winter terms and continues to pay the international differential tuition fee.
- Available to international students required to pay a differential fee who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents.
- Based on academic merit.
How to Apply for University of Calgary Scholarships for International Students 2025
To apply for this scholarship, follow these steps:
1. Apply for Your Undergraduate Program:
– Start your application by creating a UCalgary eID.
– Use the application guide to assist you through the process.
– Submit your application and pay the $145 application fee.
– Based on your application, you will receive instructions in your Calgary Student Center on how and where to submit any required documents. For more details, refer to the documents page.
2. Apply for the Scholarship:
– Access your Student Center through the myUofC portal.
– In your Student Center, go to the “My Financials” page.
– Scroll down to the Awards & Scholarships section and click on “Apply for Undergraduate Awards.” Ensure that pop-ups are enabled, as the application page will not display if they are blocked.
– A pop-up window will show any open applications or recently closed ones. Pay close attention to the Application Available and Application Deadline dates.
